Welcome to Audubon Dakota!

For more than 100 years, Audubon has been connecting people with nature through the annual Christmas Bird Count, The Great Backyard Bird Count and Important Bird Area surveys, all of which provide scientists with critical bird population trend data and diversity records.

Audubon Dakota aims to connect with communities throughout North and South Dakota to demonstrate the importance of protecting and restoring native habitats for our native bird species. We do this by delivering education/engagement events, developing conservation programs that target habitat protection, and partnering with conservation minded organizations to expand our impacts.

In this way, Audubon Dakota has become the voice of birds within the Dakotas.
